Biography

Jess Erzinger is a retired respiratory therapist with 40 years of experience in health care. Although her career began in critical care, Jess quickly realized that she had two primary passions. The first was for patient education and empowering patients to thrive while living with chronic respiratory disease. The second was for applying best practice standards in respiratory diagnostics and respiratory outpatient clinics. Her experience also includes clinical program development, research, clinical leadership and education.

Diagnosed with lipedema in 2025, she discovered that lipedema is under diagnosed and lipedema care is generally not covered as an insured service in Canada. She is excited about working with the Lipedema Canada team and utilizing her skills in the development and implementation of standards of care and referral pathways, improving coverage for conservative and surgical treatment in Canada and developing educational resources for those living with lipedema.
