As the vice president of Lipedema Canada and president of Lipedema Manitoba Association, she champions awareness and equitable care. A passionate advocate, volunteer, and photographer, Angel’s work spans community service and global travel.

Angel Anderson is a Chartered Professional Accountant with more than 25 years experience spanning private industry, provincial government and the health sector. Based in Winnipeg, MB, she is a natural leader and effective collaborator who stepped into the role of President of Lipedema Canada in the organization’s early stages. She also serves as President of Lipedema Manitoba Association. Angel’s longstanding commitment to community service has included thousands of volunteer hours with a wide range of organizations. Her contributions through the YWCA were recognized in 2012 with the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. Angel has traveled to Germany five times for life-changing lipedema removal surgery. She is deeply passionate about raising awareness of lipedema so it is diagnosed earlier in life and advocates to governments across Canada for formal recognition of lipedema and equitable access to healthcare.
In addition to her professional and advocacy work, Angel is a professional photographer specializing in travel and landscape photography. Her portfolio includes images from the North of polar bears and northern lights, as well as photography from Europe, the Middle East and African safaris, and portrait work.
