Biography

Originally from France and trained at the University of East Anglia in England, Dr. Delphine
Boury is a physician with over 15 years of diverse clinical experience across the world, including
Europe, Canada, and New Zealand. She settled in Québec in 2011, working first in remote
regions before developing a strong practice in phlebology, aesthetic medicine, and sports
medicine. Over the past years, she has cultivated a particular expertise in lipedema, integrating
comprehensive clinical evaluation, Doppler ultrasound, long-term management strategies, and
patient advocacy. Deeply committed to improving recognition and care for individuals living with
lipedema, she collaborates with national associations, contributes to educational initiatives, and
works to bring accessible, evidence-based treatment options to patients. She currently practices
at Medicart Ste-Julie and continues to expand her expertise through international congresses,
clinical research, and community engagement.

Professional Profile: 

Internationally trained Canadian Family Physician with extensive postgraduate
training in venous and lymphatic medicine, sports medicine, dermatology, obstetrics,
and global/public health. Completed the mandatory Phlebology Training Program
(Québec 2022) and now practices full-spectrum venous medicine including Doppler
ultrasound assessment, reflux mapping, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy,
echosclerosis, and radiofrequency endovenous ablation.

Provides advanced management of chronic venous insufficiency, lymphatic
dysfunction, and lipedema—embedding functional assessment, compression planning,
symptom monitoring, and postoperative follow-up for patients undergoing surgery
abroad.

Holds the IOC Diploma in Sports Medicine (2021) with experience in mobility
evaluation, chronic pain, MSK ultrasound-guided injections, and performance
medicine. Known for a multidisciplinary, patient-centred, trauma-informed approach
integrating procedural expertise, women’s health, vascular medicine, and long-term
collaborative care.
